Read on below and you can find all sorts of helpful information about how to get started with me. I've included a sampling of some of the common situations I work with, but it is not exhaustive. If you are experiencing something different than what you see there, get in touch. It's likely that I can help you too.
GETTING STARTED WITH ME:
Scheduling
I do all of my own scheduling. I see clients in Jacksonville Beach and St. Augustine. The quickest and easiest way schedule an appointment with me is by email.
Payment
The standard fee for all clients for a 50-minute session is $125. I accept cash, personal checks, debit cards, credit cards, and health savings account cards. All card charges will include a 3.5% processing fee. It is the policy of Elbow Tree that the session fee is to be paid prior to the end of each session.
Discounted Fees
Pre-paying for 8-10 sessions reduces the hourly fee by 20%. Eight bundled sessions is $800 and 10 bundled sessions is $1,000. Your bundle may be distributed among multiple family members. Please share any financial circumstances that may affect your ability to access mental health counseling. We can discuss available options during our initial session.
Insurance
I do not take any form of insurance other than the use of an HSA Card. I would be glad to make a helpful referral to another clinician locally who might be in a position to accommodate insurance for you. Other licensed clinicians at Elbow Tree are able to provide you with a receipt for you to submit or some amount of reimbursement from your health care provider.

When you arrive to the office, park anywhere and feel free to come on into the waiting area and find a cozy place to relax until our session begins. I will be out at the top of the hour to greet you, so don't worry if it's close the time we are supposed to meet and you have not seen me yet. I may be wrapping up a session just ahead of you. Also, feel free to use the restroom in the office prior to our session.
Cancellations
Please give me 24-hours notice if you need to cancel our appointment. Last minute cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full session fee unless it is a medical emergency.
