It's difficult to ask for help. It takes courage. I'm glad you're here, now, and I encourage you to keep going and start on the path to healthy balance and healing.
Therapy is a place to process your thoughts and feelings, to examine struggles, and to be regarded with respect and empathy as you find your way toward your goals. Therapy is also a place to come away from with tangible and applicable solutions. In therapy, sometimes we peel back the layers to process grief or a difficult past in order to heal, uncover strengths to increase self-esteem, or discover unhelpful thinking styles that lead to unwanted emotions. You will learn new skills for your current challenge, and have a chance to consider different perspectives. Of course, therapy can just simply be a place to sit with a non-judgmental person to help process thoughts or feelings you wrestle with. I work most often with:
About Me When not at the office, I am at home with my husband of 20 years and our two high-schoolers, at the beach with the dog, exploring Florida's springs on a paddleboard, or knee deep in several books at once!
