Read on below and you can find all sorts of helpful information about how to get started with me. I've included a sampling of some of the common situations I work with, but it is not exhaustive. If you are experiencing something different than what you see there, get in touch. It's likely that I can help you too.
GETTING STARTED WITH ME:
Scheduling I do all of my own scheduling. I have a variety of times available. The quickest and easiest way get an appointment with me is to schedule online. You'll be able to see my available slots and grab one for yourself, as well as leave me personal note if you wish. If you think there is something we need to discuss before you schedule, feel free to email, text or call. Once you schedule your appointment, you will receive both text and email confirmations of your scheduled appointment with links to your secure client portal.
Payment The standard fee for all clients for a 50-minute session is $150. I accept cash, personal checks, debit cards, credit cards, and health savings account cards. All card charges will include a 3.5% processing fee. It is the policy of Elbow Tree that the session feeis to be paid prior to the end of each session.
Discounted Fees Pre-paying for 8-10 sessions knocks 20% off of the hourly fee. A bundle of 8 sessions is $960 and 10 sessions is $1200. Your bundle may be distributed among multiple family members.
Insurance If you have insurance, I can participate as an "Out of Network" provider. Serving you as an "Out of Network" provider means you pay my regular session fee, then I provide you with a receipt that has all the point-of-service information necessary for you to file and possibly get a rebate from your insurance company.
Forms All intake forms must be completed online prior to your first appointment with me by completing online intake forms in your secure client portal.
Arrival When you arrive to the Elbow Tree office, pull in behind the building to find a parking spot. Enter through the rear door and feel free to stop in the kitchen to brew a fresh cup of coffee. Coffee pods and condiments are readily available to you on the shelf above the sink. Make yourself at home. Relax in the waiting room until I come and get you. If its a couple minutes past the top of the hour, don't panic. I'll be out momentarily to greet you.
Cancellations Please give me 24-hours notice if you need to cancel our appointment. Last minute cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full session fee unless it is a medical emergency.

A Little More About Me
I have lived overseas in Haiti for 12 years and have seen firsthand the tragedy of childhood trauma and abuse. I also know well the unique, unseen challenges of missionary life. I am skilled in building safe, trusting relationships through active listening. I am culturally sensitive and treat all people with dignity and respect. I value hard work, loyalty, and kindness. I am a lifelong learner who values diverse perspectives and insights of others.
When not at the office, I enjoy spending time with my husband and four kiddos. I love the simple pleasures in life - early morning stillness, curling up with a good book on a rainy day, a warm meal, a long run, quiet in nature, a hot cup of coffee, sunrises and sunsets, the feel of sand between my toes, and the smell of ocean air. My faith is the anchor of my soul and my mission is to love others with the abiding presence that I experience in Christ.
